Overdose Prevention & Management - Training the Trainers

This course equips your staff to deliver their own overdose prevention workshops and training.  Specifically suitable for Day Programmes, Prisons, Groupwork, Carers and for Tier 2 & 3 staff working with individuals.  The course covers:
  • What is an overdose?
  • Physical process of overdose, signs and symptoms
  • Practical methods to reduce risk
  • How to manage overdose situations
  • CPR practicals, Recovery position, First Aid, Defibrulator etc.
Harm Reduction
An in-depth programme that covers:
  • Safer Injecting practices
  • Blood-Borne Viruses (BBVs)
  • Drug Paraphenalia
  • Spotting the signs
  • Good Practice in Needle Exchange (Centre-based & Pharmacy)
